What is Source Type?
The Source Type clarifies the nature of information sources used to support the counter. There are two options to choose from: Self-explanatory and Linked References.
The Self-explanatory type represents counters that are supported by principles of logic and do not need external references. In contrast, when selecting the source type Linked References, the counter submitter acknowledges that (i) certain parts of the counter require external references, and that (ii) they are linking those references to the submission. That's where the name Linked References comes from.
